Yes, use Gateway's launcher to boot into GW Menu and choose the option Format Emunand. It will create emunand and it's compatible with RxTools.

Keep in mind that the option Format Emunand not only creates the emunand partition in your SD card but also formats the SD card.

got it mate! i tried creating an emunand before and the GW menu requires the Red Card to boot from emunand so I stopped there, I already have a separate SD card to try things out, will do that later, just want to try things out for additional knowledge.

So I am trying to install mset and I got the proper file installed and then when I go to the webpage after scanning the QR code it just sits there forever after saying executing... Everything else is working except for this. I'm using a 2ds on 8.1 sysnand and it's updated to whatever is latest on emunand. I installed it manually via FBI and RXTools says it's exploitable already.


Nevermind apparently it worked anyway because it worked when I went to DS Profile.

EDIT : I found out the problem/inssue. I accidentally installed Mario Party Island Tour into SYSNAND and for some reason during installing it's got failed but installed without icon and name, even working propertly if i start it. Even formating SYSND e EMUNAND It's still there. So I Enter FBI and remove it manually. Now The Black icon with no name it's gone and I installed Mario Party Island tour to the SDcard. And all other Cia installing normal.

First of all, i just wanna say thank you all involved in this thing called RXTOOLS ( Developers, Youtubers, forum peoples ) etc.
It's a kind of confuse and complicated, because it's too much information, too much names ( PASTA, NTR, ReiNand and RXTOOLS )
Only thing i understand it's "CFW" rsrsr.

But it's not a problem, it's good by the way. Because we need more then just get it "ready to play", we need to get involved with all thoose things....

I installed and very successful some .cia games that I alredy have and was using with Gateway.

But for some strange reason (very Strange), Mario Party Island Tour failed to install. And I tried another game and it's failed too. So i stop installing cia and return to Home Screen. The 2 .cia that failed was add to and was asking to umpack.

I umpack one of then and it's showed me a black/dark icon with no name or nothing else. But if I execute it, Mario Party Island Tour works like normal cia installed game.

But the problem now i can't remove, uninstall it. Because it's not there like other games to be uninstall.

What I alredy Tried : Install Mario Party Island Tour Again
- ( Sometimes it's give error saying it's alredy Exist, sometimes it's install )
- When I get it installed, I remove/uninstall it. But the another one with no icon and name still there.
Tried : Formated Emunand. Reinstall the M.set Exploit, boot again into emunand ( Did all step to first use ) but when i finish all, so there it's a package game to be umpacked, and hahaha It's there.

Tried : To find the game into SD, but cant find it. I deleted the Nintendo 3DS Folder. And now I cant get into emunand enymore.

But this problema I'll solve by my self.

What I wanna really know it's how to prevent ou safely remove this game if it's happen again. Because I'm afraid that sometime it's will happen again. Because? Because It's happen with my sister 3DS today

Ok, I know this will be a very unpopular answer, but try devmenu_2x.cia. It's in govanify's old cfw. Not on GBATemp. Google for it.

No. Every time you play a DS Game you have to reinstall the MSET exploit.

Try installing SUDOKUHAX. It lets you load homebrew only .nds files. The rop installers count.

I'm a GATEWAY 3DS USER, so everything was easy e simple. Now Everything it's complicated. And I'm loving it.

I don't really need cfw stuff. But i loved all this amazing work peoples are doing so i wanna get into too!!

Speaking of CFW, try NTR 3.0. You can launch it from rxTools and it will allow you to take screenshots, backup saves, and other little things like that.

I finally managed to install Sudokuhax. What a pain since I had to install Windows into a Virtual Machine since I use a Mac. I couldn't find a compiled version of Decrypt9 that had the option of extracting or injecting just the TWRL partition.

No. Every time you play a DS Game you have to reinstall the MSET exploit.

Not true. There was a fix a long time ago for this.

Hi there, long time lurker, I have some problem with updating my 4.2 O3DS XL to 9.2, I installed FBI.cia to sysnand using gateway FBI.3DS, but I can't launch it while in rxtools devmode, it says FBI has to be downloaded again from eshop.
What did I do wrong ? devmode seems to not patching the signature check

First of all you shouldn't use FBI to update your system. It may cause a brick. You should use sysupdater 4.1.
