Latest version works like a charm:

GBA games can be installed in emuNand (SD).
DSIware games must be installed in sysNand (NAND) but if you also install them in emuNand (NAND) they can be played from there and are region free :)

So you're confirming that GBA games work straight from emunand alone, no cfw switcher, nothing but agb_firm on emunand?
Because before, you had to have the same games on both sysnand and emunand to use it on emunand on Rxtools 2.5.2.

Does 2.6 add support for GBA games natively on emunand now?

  • Can i play GBA or DS/DSi games?
    • Yes, in both emuNand and sysNand. The only issue is that to make those apps playable on emuNand you need to install them in sysNand too, or have your Nands linked.

Yes! No AGBfirm patches, no sysnand mess, works straight from emunand, according to Roxas and some posts here.

@Dean_
But is that for older rxtools? Im sure that faq hasn't been updated yet. VinsCool and A600 mention that it now works straight off emunand with no additional requirements.

@VinsCool
Now my next question is this: Is it possible to boot rxtools from Ds profile with downgraded mset on a 9.0 3DS? The new release mentions downgrading mset, so that must mean it has something to do with anything above 4.5. I just need confirmation on this too.

Once Roxas gets proper offset detection for bottom/top screen the GUI can be come more fancy. Here's what I managed to do by modifying the source code a bit:

Got me a splash logo working on the bottom screen (you might recognize it from another user here. It's a minor edit to a GUI image he posted earlier. Crusard made this. I just edited out some things since it's not a functional GUI. It's just a static image for now. :P ). I also edited the top screen to use text for the bottom part instead of having the text hardcoded into the image itself. (you can see it change when it auto boots rxMode).

Unfortunately Roxas took shortcuts with the draw.c code. So the bottom screen offset changes when booting from Ninjhax/MSET aren't properly accounted for. So what I've got only works from Spider and breaks Ninjhax booting (and probably MSET too). Even from spider the bottom screen only actually shows anything 50% of the time. Half the time when I boot it, the bottom screen remains white. His method of setting up the buffers is definitely faulty. :P

Heck even without any alterations to the bottom screen, if I even try to put text on the top screen it shows up glitched when booted from Ninjhax. I'm wondering if the menus even work properly in Ninjhax from the start. I don't really use Ninjhax for booting CFW though, so I haven't really checked. :P

Looks cool :)
While it should be low on Roxas's priority list, it would be cool if he implemented this if it doesn't require much work. After all we only see this screen for a couple of seconds

Well in my build the bottom screen splash logo remains even after using R button to active the rxTools menu. It's better then looking at the white screen. (rxTools when booted from spider has white bottom scren. MSET/Ninjhax users will probably have black screens for the bottom screen)
