@MasterFeizz glad to see you back! Nice work!
One thing, when i save doesn't matter where, after i load the save i start at the beggining of the level i saved in with only the pistol. Is this supposed to happen?

nope, unfortunately the saving seems to be a little buggy at the moment, but online and lan play work without a hitch (just got done with a lan match between 3ds, pc, and android phone lol)

Great port! Thank you so much for this. Runnig flawless here.

Are you planning to enable mod support?

I can't change the 'gamedir' either directly from console or with an autoexec.cfg.
Giving the 'set game' command just makes it crash right now.
Expansions seem to load up just fine by replacing the whole 'baseq2' folder, of course with missing assests.

Other than that, would it be possible to adjust the dead-zone of the circlepad? (same for ctrQuake btw)

Mods will have to be statically compiled, so you will need to modify the source for them.

Yes, I'll add deadzone adjustments on the next update.

How can I play online? Lan works flawless:)
edit: Can I start the mission packs too? if yes, how?

Gee.. i've kinda made a mess out of your sourcecode.. masterfeizz.
But hey i managed to build a Capture the Flag edition.

Both .3dsx and .cia are available if anyone is interested.
This obviously is multiplayer only, but LAN and online are working perfect (so far).
It runs seperate from the Quake2CTR build, but uses the same 'baseq2' folder.

It's the official CTF addon, available bundled in the 3.20 update of quake2.

Installation:
-Copy both 'baseq2' and 'ctf' folders from the full game to: 'sd:\3DS\Quake2\'
-Install .cia or use the .3dsx
(.CIA is recommended!)

.3DSX build of Quake2CTR is also included for those who need it.

MasterFeizz, thanks again for this great port!

This is amazing. Thank you! Where do you get the server lists from?

We can always share a default 'config.cfg', preconfigured with a few already hosted empty servers. Seems there are plenty of them. Makes it easy to approach for all 3ds players.

I'm in!! It sounds like you know what your are talking about LOL. I'm sold with the idea. If you are kind enough to share the file and tell me where to put it I'll be more than happy to give it a try.

same here
maybe some cooperative servers?

Ok, how about this.
I've created two server lists.

For Quake II
Code:
set adr0 "tastyspleen.net:27927"
set adr1 "tastyspleen.net:27916"
set adr2 "tastyspleen.net:27912"
set adr3 "tastyspleen.net:27920"
set adr4 "tastyspleen.net:27922"
set adr5 "q2.playground.ru:27910"

set allow_download "1"
set allow_download_players "1"
set allow_download_models "1"
set allow_download_sounds "1"
set allow_download_maps "1"
and for Quake II - Capture the Flag
Code:
set adr0 "tastyspleen.net:27914"
set adr1 "tastyspleen.net:27924"
set adr2 "74.91.125.189:27911"
set adr3 "quake.parks.lv:27910"
set adr4 "208.83.20.179:27999"
set adr5 "quake.ldznet.lv:27910"

set allow_download "1"
set allow_download_players "1"
set allow_download_models "1"
set allow_download_sounds "1"
set allow_download_maps "1"

This sets 6 default servers for both Quake 2 and CTF. It also enables the download options by default.

-Replace / add these lines to your current 'config.cfg'
or
-Download and replace your current 'config.cfg' in: sd:\3ds\Quake2\baseq2 and or ctf

Next time you start Quake2 it will regenerate the other settings, to default.
Re-enter your player name and join a server.
