It should be easy to adjust this tool for MHGen assuming that MHGen uses the same save structure as MHX, which will be pretty likely. Will this be compatible with monster hunter generations later when its released or so? and if not will u update the tool for it?
Yes, I plan on updating it when the game comes out. Will this be compatible with monster hunter generations later when its released or so? and if not will u update the tool for it?

The format is the same but the Japanese quests only have a Japanese language file in them so Generations probably crashes because it can't find the language file it's looking for. So you won't be able to just drop in Japanese quests but it should be easy to add the missing language files to get them working. That'll be cool. I just tried inserting mhx dlc data based on your wiki into mhg and it shows 2 nyanster quests, which hangs when I start the quest LOL. I guess we'll have to wait for the first dlc to arrive before we know the format.
The quest files are actually an archive (like a ZIP file) and contain many files. One of the files contains all the text for the quest that's displayed when you view it at the quest board. It's named something like "questData_1010001_jpn.gmd" which would contain the Japanese text. But the English version of the game will look for a file called "questData_1010001_eng.gmd" and if it's missing, that's probably why it crashes.I don't get you, what do you mean by adding a missing language file?
The official DLC quests are copyrighted and therefore can not be shared here.does anyone have all the released MHX jap dlc by chance or all the dlc translated for mhgen? and can it be imported with this tool? I don't want to make new quests I just want to have the quests that we get down the road, early
