@mashers Has something gone wrong with the way the "empty" app icons are displayed in betas 30 and 31? I'm seeing some odd behavior on my end with these builds:

Try opening the pic with microsoft paint and save it with it. It happened to me once and I fixed it that way.

Is BGM for themes a possibility in the near future? Also it would be cleaner if we could put the theme/config files into an HBL folder or something instead of cluttering root.

Loving the rapid development pace and the huge progress this has been making. Hope you're getting enough rest!

Small bug (undoubtedly you know of this already, but anyways..): Japanese (and other non-Latin) characters don't show up properly in your HBL, but then again they don't in Smea's either.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that. I don't use the netloader (I don't even know what it is), so I haven't tested this. Would it be possible for you to upload a screenshot?

It's like an FTP server that's run on the 3DS that a client can send 3ds executables to, which instantly gets run as soon as its received. devkitPro comes with a 3dslink binary that acts as the client and can send a 3dsx file directly to the 3DS that gets run. Smea's HBL repo has a description of how to use it in it's README: https://github.com/smealum/3ds_hb_menu/blob/master/README.md#netloader

It's really helpful when you're developing homebrew in that you don't constantly need to use an FTP client (or use the SD card!?) to push to the binaries to the SD and then exit and run the 3dsx from the HBL.

Here's an image of what it looks like right now during transfer: http://i.imgur.com/vNprmjd.png

Ok, can you try with beta 33? It should be sorted now.
Sorry for the delay, we were getting into the early morning hours at this point. Just confirming that it's working exactly as expected in beta 34 (you were so quick updating that I missed one :p). Thanks again.
