No next weekMaybe I could try to take a look at the source code this week?
K.No next week
There is CIAngel. It's not as pretty, but works the same nonetheless.20 years wow.
Well, is there any alternative?
Use the same code site to clone not githubK.
Though, if I upload this on Github, will it be DCMA'd again or did all the DCMA factors get removed?
Um, you can do cloning on different sites...Use the same code site to clone not github
Github's Freeshop was repealed due to copyrighted content, so it's not the best idea to re-upload it on there. Although, it wouldn't hurt to try.Um, you can do cloning on different sites...
Also, github is way easier for me...
Ah. I'm no law enforcement, but I'm still a bit worried, Nintendo takes down anything.Freeshop itself falls under the same legal grounds as torrent downloader. The program itself is not illegal as it does no longer uses any Nintendo code (it did use the bootsplash, but that was removed.) Since freeShop does not directly advocate piracy, link to keys, or even directly say it can be used to install pirated titles. It does not violate any copyright laws.
They already took down freeShop for the actual illegal code used, which was the boot splash. They failed to actually remove it for the potential piracy useage.Ah. I'm no law enforcement, but I'm still a bit worried, Nintendo takes down anything.
Yea that's why I said not githubGithub's Freeshop was repealed due to copyrighted content, so it's not the best idea to re-upload it on there. Although, it wouldn't hurt to try.
anyword who this other person is?That took a dive.
He did mention he had legal issues besides the DMCA, I guess that was it. That's just all kinds of crazy.
He also mentioned someone else is going to be the lead dev for freeShop and he was going to just advise.
I guess someone else is maintaining the cache now. It seems to get regular updates.
No idea. I just read him mention it in this thread. I don't think he named the person. Maybe it's the person that's keeping the source code current.anyword who this other person is?
