I issued a quick fix for issue of freeShop freezing when opening a game with the settings page open. Please tell me if it still happens.

Which DLC?
When I try to install the Fire Emblem Fates DLC, it crashes when it finished
//edit:
New Super Mario Bros too.

Which DLC?
For me it was Mario Kart 7.
It was en queue after a DLC for Bravely Second. The DLC for BS installed normally but freeShop crashed after installing the one for MK7.

Crashed again after installing FE Awakening DLC.

Throwing a lot a 2.0.1, I have managed to crash it twice so far on a 2DS.
While I playing with sort features/notification pop up, and downloading simultaneously.
The first crash was on first boot.

Edit: crash on idle "sleeping" while the app was doing nothing at all

Edit: with bgm the app has not crashed, i don't know if this is a coincidence

I hope this is okay to post here. It's a remix, so I don't think it exactly violates anything? I'll remove it if I need to.

The song is the Wii Shop Channel remix that is pretty popular. Here's a link to the soundcloud and the artist who made it, and here is it as the "shop-loop.ogg" file that works with 2.0. It sounds a little scratchy on my 3DS, but you're mileage may vary. Others can feel free to take a shot at converting it. I used audacity so yeah.

Just drop it in the "3ds/data/freeshop/" folder and jam out!

I have my own remix that I'd like to convert, is there a converter for the proper bitrate or can I just convert to OGG and be ok?

edit: Nevermind I have figured it out cause I read the github and also here is the loop if you want a trap remix to play lmao

Hello there! I saw that in 2.0 the directorys for everything change. Could someone tell me to put stuff in? From the video i saw i have to make a folder in 3ds called data and put the titlekey bin file in there correct?

3ds/data/freeshop/keys/
Is the correct directory

How do I add background music?
  • BGM: you can place two files in the freeShop directory: shop-intro.ogg and shop-loop.ogg. The intro will play once followed by the loop playing indefinitely. Format restrictions yet to be tested. But confirmed to work with vorbis stereo 22050 Hz.

Where can i download peoples custom music?
You can download any kind of audio format from anywhere and convert it using something like Audacity to covert into an .ogg file. Searching for "wii shop remix" brought up a ton of remixes, but you could literally make anything you want into the bgm.
