when I tried downloading a 2.xGB game after a while I got a blackscreen, when I finally got out of it I had to go back into the freeshop app but my game wasn't installing anymore :/ is this a bug?

I think so I am having the same problem when trying to download any game.

There is a feature that makes the screen turn off to prevent burnin. You should only have to touch a button to wake the screen again. Is this your case?

What's the bug? You're closing the software... The black screen is normal, you're supposed to press any button
Also, your touch screen doesn't respond well

At the time of downloading comes a black screen and 3ds is locked. In the video I just press the Power button after the screen went black.

Don't hit the power button when it goes black try just moving the joystick. Pushing the power button when the screen goes to sleep is whats messing it up.

3ds is on a black screen permanently and is locked or the home button works.

I won't deny i'm surprised some people would use home button/pòwer button to try and "reactivate" a simple screen off feature. Though I guess it makes sense if they didn't read the patch notes of the release to see it's actually intended.

I only move the directional pad a bit and that's enough to turn the screen on again. so try that. If the screen is permanently black, its more likely that you pressed the home button so you're technically in the home menu and so Freeshop can't reactivate unless you press home button again.

Don't know if it's just me but when the screens turn black, the download speed was halved, not really a problem, just a warning

I am using the gateway 3ds with emunand 11.0

Try to uninstall its ticket with FBI, then retry. Solved the problem (on another game) for me.

Is wierd, I removed the ticket, fails to download again but reinstalls the ticket...

The first step in installing a CIA is to install the ticket, that's why even if the download fails the ticket comes back.
