Homebrew [Release] FBI - Open source CIA installer

Hi guys, I have injected FBI into my H&S and it loads up fine. however, when I to to Titles, then select one of my games, I choose 'Import Seed' and I get the following error:

Failed to import seed.
Result code 0xD963F803
Level: Permanent (27)
Summary: Internal (11)
Module: Application (254)
Desc: HTTP request returned error (3)

Internet is connected, and a connection test through Settings works fine. This error occurs on all of my titles. Help?

Make sure you're trying it on titles that actually use seed encryption; otherwise, it won't be able to download the seed, because there is none.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure if there's a way around this. The save data is already open under the PTM process, so it's locked from other processes opening it.

For a process like PTM, not likely. Killing processes to access their save data would likely be a messy thing, in any case.

What about running as an a9lh payload? Would that be before the process has started to run? (Of course, if so, it may also be before other processes have started to run that you need for the program....)

Running as an a9lh payload is entirely beyond the scope of FBI; it's an ARM11 userland app, and would require significant rewriting to run as an ARM9 payload.

Although I could not access 00010022 in "System Save Data", I was able to access CTR NAND/data/ID/sysdata/00010022/00000000. Unfortunately, it wasn't decrypted. I had previously tried GodMode9 which did the same thing.

Adding a manuall install without installing title would be good.

and everything is working fine

but I was wondering how I could update FBI?
Do I need to inject it to the hs.app again or can I simply install the new FBI.cia through FBI?

Is this as a 3DSX? Also, there already is an entry in the title action menu for installing the seed for an already-installed title.

@Steveice10 any intention to add the ability to update FBI from within FBI just by selecting an update option? I know it can currently do this by scanning a QR code... But could it be done by just a simple menu selection?

Just use H&S FBI to install the FBI CIA. Don't worry about replacing the injected FBI unless that's how you want to go about doing it. If this is the case you would do it the same way you originally injected FBI.

Was just wondering, what is external save data? what differentiates this from SD.

Also, if I use a CIA and the health and safety dump, which version will take precedent

Does this means that if I have a bad ticket installed by a cia and I try to install a new ticket with the new release of FBI it will overwrite the old (bad ticket)??? Or do I still need to delete the bad tickets manually?

Edit: Forgot to tell that if im downloading something from cnd it freezes at 750mb (I have a n3ds) sorry if this is already reported

• Decrease loading time for bulk file actions that operate only on certain file types.
• Fix possible freeze when performing bulk file operations.
