Finally, a port that maybe more than 2 people will play. Unlike the demo, the gamepad DOES actually play audio now, however you do need the original game on the SD Card placed at SD:/wiiu/apps/Cuphead-WiiU; it must be with that name and once you copy the game it should end up like SD:/wiiu/apps/Cuphead-WiiU/Cuphead_Data (including the exe and all that)

Supported controllers are: Wiimote, Wiimote + Nunchuk, Classic & Pro Controllers in addition to the Gamepad.

The download links are available over at: https://thelatteteam.itch.io/cuphead-wii-u and if you can't download it from one link try the other.
This port has been play tested to an extent but we're not sure if there may be any left over bugs or any visual bugs, if you happen to find any bugs please report them either on this thread, on our discord server for it: https://discord.gg/EUn4pGy5gc

As always, here's the release trailer as always:

And here are some screenshots taken on real hardware

Oh nice! I'm glad people are still enjoying Cuphead today.

I have to question though, does this port support multilanguage and the achievements just like in the official version? And if the DLC will be ever included at one point?

Both questions probably are no, and I say "probably" because we know the DLC uses the same Unity version as the version this port is based on, it's just that AssetBundles are a pain to work with and unless we find a way to work around them or try to reassign them properly to the game then the answer at the moment is no. Multilanguage is another story since it *could* be made to work but the entire system would need to be reimplemented and achievements could be added in a future since we've made ports with achievements that work before so it shouldn't be as hard

This makes me think that this port is based on the versions available before the Switch port was released (which was the first to introduce multilanguage before all other versions were updated to match).

It is indeed based on the last version before the Switch release
Well that's a shame. Hopefully this will be rectified in the future.

As for me, I could help with this project as kind of a translator. There are in-game messages exclusive to this port (like the Gamepad one in the screenshot) which need to be translated according to the language the game is played in.

Since the game is officially available in my language (Italian), I'd be down to give a hand with translating text.

Sure, if we end up adding multilanguage support I'll let people know to help with the additional translations for messages we've added here :)

Just tested it and it's wonderful. Thank you very much for your hard work. Out of curiosity: how many hours have gone into this port from the actual idea to this release?
