Guys....why is no one talking about today's new release 1.7.2?!! :)
Wait, what the hell? An update release that had no warning before it?
Anyways, here's the changelog:

# Cemu detailed changelog for 1.7.2
# Patreon release date: 2017-02-16

general: Reorganized menu options for better clarity (Some debug option stuff wasn't really for debugging)
general: Added option to choose fullscreen scaling mode (stretch to screen or keep aspect ratio)
general: Default and recommended value for CPU timer option is now 'Host based'

PPC: Thread emulation is now using Fibers. Technically speaking, this change was made to simplify context switching within HLE functions. It allows certain API to behave more similar to the real Cafe OS.

coreinit: Fixed a bug that caused MEMGetAllocatableSizeForExpHeapEx() to return negative values under certain circumstances
coreinit: Fixed a crash bug in MPRunTasksFromTaskQ()
coreinit: Added API MPDequeTask(), MPWaitTaskQWithTimeout(), MPRunTask()
coreinit: Fixed rare deadlock in alarm handler

VPAD: Fixed fullscreen touch input for non-16:9 displays

GX2: Fixed that under certain circumstances GX2WaitTimeStamp() could return immediately due to the low accuracy of the internally used timer (affected only 'Host based timer')
GX2: Added support for texture format R16_G16_B16_A16_SNORM
GX2: Added support for sampler2DRect textures
GX2: Unsupported instructions in a GS Copyshader will no longer cause a crash
GX2: Fixed texelFetch() accessing textures upside-down if ARB_clip_control is used
GX2: Adjusted handling of vsync and flip event to decrease latency
GX2: Optimized texture encoding & decoding
GX2: Optimized frequently used GX2 API
GX2: Optimized various parts of the GPU command processor
GX2: Fixed incorrect mapping of GS->PS attributes if gl_FragCoord is used
GX2: Fixed handling of GS input primitive LINE_STRIP

I know! Shocker. I do like surprises though.

Can someone confirm DKTP is finally (near) perfect? For me, only the banana defect was bothering me. Not sure if there's other defects with the game at this point. Can't test until tomorrow...

He also posted a summary on r/cemu.
  • Optimizations
  • Improved compatibility (Fast Racing Neo goes ingame, not playable. Darksiders 2 works and is playable)
  • Graphic improvements (Lots of problems in DKC TF fixed. Sniper Elite V2 much better)
  • Bugfixes and minor adjustments (Restructured menu, option to choose scaling for non-16:9 displays)
So, bugs related to bananas and Cranky in DKC:TF might finally be fixed

Judging from the patreon post I imagined this is more the slowdowns in certain stages, flickering, and/or possibly fixing graphic pack issues. Would be great if pick-ups/beards are fixed for Nvidia users though, but this isn't really something I can test/confirm myself...

I will be adding Fast Racing NEO to the graphic pack GitHub in the next upcoming days.

I'm just straight up confused with this update. Some games boot one time, and the next time they no longer boot. I don't even know anymore.

For the games that just crash, this is what appears in their crash log. Doesn't matter what game, they all give off this same stack trace.

It seems entirely random. Sometimes a game boots, sometimes it does not (with the same settings and everything). So it seems @Exzap may need to come up with a hotfix update soon.

CEMU 1.7.2b Testing
SPECS: 980ti/6700k skylake @ 4.3Ghz

Donkey Kong Country Stage 2-1 Windmill Hills is not slow anymore! ISSUE FIXED

Smash brothers has massive frame drops playing with DLC Characters, graphics are still dark.

Pikmin 3 gets stuck when looking for drake on the gamepad. Although now I see the signal radiating from the spot, which I don't believe I seen before.

Puyo Puyo Tetris crashes entering any vs stage:
