Its his choice , he can easily release it to the public if he wants to , same thing with 1.5.6b .. he release it without charging people for patreon
"# New in 1.5.6b
general: Mouse cursor is no longer hidden in fullscreen (again)"

Why would he keep this simple fix for the next release? That doesn't make sense! :P
Also: He is not charging anybody. Contributing is being done completely voluntarily! $5+ Patrons just get it a week early! ;)

# CEMU detailed changelog for 1.6.1
# Patreon release date: 2016-10-08

general: Fixed a bug where files would be created in/loaded from the wrong directory after the load file dialog.

NFP: Added initial NFC support
Scanning NFC tags works by loading a file via the menu

GX2: New universal cache implementation for attribute, uniform and index data
Additionally, there is now a cache accuracy option to control the level of accuracy vs performance. Can be changed while a game is already running.
The previously added cache control options where removed as they have become obsolete

GX2: Further improved and optimized handling of textures with overlapping memory regions
GX2: Optimized detection of changes to texture data
GX2: Adjusted the idle loop of the GPU7 command processor thread to respond quicker to new data
GX2: Fixed a crash that could occur if GL shaders failed to compile
GX2: Moved handling of alpha test into shader code (rather than relying on OpenGL's deprecated hw alpha test)
GX2: Fixed a bug where the swizzle value of a texture would not be correctly updated when an already cached texture was reloaded

What about performance improvements on 1.6.1?, could anyone give fps measures between 1.6.0 and 1.6.1?

As a side note, it seems to me that interest and posts about CEMU have decreased quite a bit in this forum.

Well at least for me, it was a big fps improvement .

First couple videos I've seen are crazy improvements in general!

Can't wait to try out nes remix to see if it improved.

My only concern is .. despite the amazing FPS improvement we got from the new release from what i see from someone's video , the only problem that bothers me the most is that the caching will get really really annoying since it freezes your game experience all the time , i also hope that they fixed the "PEEEP" sound issue on Bayonetta 2 and fix Project Zero issue where graphics crashing after CG's

MK8 Specular lighting and reflections are fixed!

Still the colour banding on the kart circle plinth though.
Stats screen and pause menu still broken?

I have a question how much ram does cemu uses with and without texture compression, if you turn off your pagefile?
I have 4GB ram + 6GB pagefile and noticed slightly better performance / less stuttering when moving the 6GB pagefile from my
Seagate ST9320328CS SATA-II 3.0Gb 5400 RPM to my
Hitachi HTS721010A9E630 SATA-III 6.0Gb 7200 RPM
which leads my to believe i'd probably get better performance with more ram and no pagefile or the pagefile stored on ssd instead with better than 130MBps read/write, I benchmarked my ddr3 some time ago on a 1GB virtual drive at 2329MBps read, 3217MBps write.

Cemu 1.6.1 Splatoon Customize screen glitch.

And no fix driver bug on NVIDIA for Super Mario Maker.
Hahahhahahahahaha
Then that's it?
It will always be so, better a game here, three there worsens and so this series has no end. Where are the news?
Where are the new compatibilities? The Mario Kart menu never stay good?
So has only fps increase in Mario Kart and Super Mario 3D? It is already all world weary.
Good job, you really know how to make money from the Muggles.
Muggles.
I'm sorry, I think I watched too Harry Potter hahahahaah.

Do you have any idea how emulation development works?

How do people like you exist...and most importantly, survive? You don't know what you're talking about, at all. Everything is a little bit improved and faster from what I and other informed individuals see. Amiibo, increase effect support and completely reworked cache with improvements visible in most playable games. That's enough for 2-3 weeks work for a FREE emulator.

This is still, by far, that faster progressing emu out there, and it's not even close. If you don't realize and appreciate that, then your choosing to be ignorant. If you actually sit there and test properly for each release, you'll see that.
