Gaming Reducing DVD drive speed (windows)

I need to reduce the speed that my DVD drive reads at, down to something like 2-4x.
Tried Nero Drivespeed but I can't get XBMC won't play or eject the drive whilst it is active.

Can anyone suggest a program that might work?

AnyDVD is worth a try, I think they have a demo too.

I tried it on my desktop and it worked well, small pause whilst it scans the disc but I can live with that.
It'll have to be Tuesday at the earliest before I can try it on my HTPC, but I have high hopes for it.

I have been using the full version AnyDVD for years now and they update so often I can't even keep up anymore. They are constantly improving it and fixing bugs so if there are any issues and you let them know, there is a good chance they might take action.
