Most commonly known as the "wellllll, that just happened" type of writing. Sadly people don't understand that being corny doesn't necessary mean you are badly written, you are just corny

They call it Reddit humor because... I don't know, Reddit bad I guess? I find it closer to the type of theatrical writing that comes from Tumblr more than anything tbh

Reddit is a censorship platform that is popular in my search results. I avoid it whenever possible. I don't know why this site is favoured by search engines. I would not class any type of humour as coming from the website, despite the unexplainable popularity of the site.

You mean 4chan? And no, I've never heard of that rom hack, until you posted the name. I also don't like "internet memes" or "internet lingo" in some games, as it kills the "immersion". I also don't know what "Reddit humor" is.

Ugh, Reddit. The only time I used that website was to download PS2-PS4 PKG files.

And you know, I could never take the "real" stories seriously from Reddit, it just sounds made up and there's no way to verify it's real. Of course, there's a few ones that are authentic.

IMHO games are here to take you AWAY from IRL world, so in a good one, there oughtn't be a need to link it to, and especially the worst aspects of IRL, so one fine and easy example would be BL1+2, Fallout as a whole, Kingdom Come, and the like.

Flesh out the game's universe, make it's own inside jokes and especially the style of, or go back in history and at least link concepts to make some/remove sense to the game world, and just roll with that. If you reference gaming/streaming culture in itself at all, then you're just a piss-poor world builder than anything else. You want gamers to create breddit jokes from your in-game inside jokes than the other way around if it's a properly good game.
