Gaming Recommended SHMUPS?

What are currently recommended as far as bullet hell/shmups go? There were quite a few choices on the PSP, but many of the common names I recall from it don't seem to appear on PSN either as native Vita or PSP compatibles. Also do any have physical releases or will it all be PSN only?


I'm watching a couple like Soldner & Super Stardust, but the list seems a tad thin for my liking.

Dariusburst and resogun are the best imo. TxK is tempest style but no longer available, I suppose. It's also great.

I also like flying hamster HD, geometry wars 3: dimensions, sine mora, super stardust delta, söldner-X 2, and Velocity 2x.

    @SylverReZ yea it's turn based. I'm usually not a fan of turn based rpg but some are pretty cool like the metal slug one and triangle strategy seemed fun too
