Really new to this, thought I needed Tinfoil, but it hasn't installed

I tried to install Tinfoil on switch, followed a guide from somewhere, copied latest files to SD etc.

Seen the install icon on home-brew menu, clicked and it came up with error. Now all I have is a spinny icon on my Home Screen, that I can't get rid of.

How do I fix please? can't seem to delete it, clicking on home icon it just says "error occurred update and try later 2155-8007" I can't press + to delete it just stays there. I've just managed to get home-brew on, so very very new to this

Sigpatches are a thing you need to install games or Tinfoil.
sys-patch is also recommended.

Ah ok, is there a guide to install them? Will this get rid of my error?

I've no idea tbh! all new and trying to learn (not very well!) I thought tinfoil was a loader for games?

If it isn't then I'm happy to delete it. There's so much info that's the prob, trying to just see what is needed is difficult.

sys-patch and sigpatch are the same thing in a different format.
They both let you run games and tinfoil, but sys-patch is a sysmodule, while sigpatches are patched from hekate (i think)

You should always test the card when you get a new card, as for tinfoil problem try deleting its file and grab new copy of tinfoil files, unless you plan to use those shop you can use other title installer like dbi.

You should use hekate usb mount feature instead, your files is probably corrupted from ftp.

Via data management in the settings app. Or by pressing + on the title from the home menu.
