I am playing around with any-title deleter and also the updates on a game disc extracted with WUFE.

I have deleted the two instances of News and Weather channels

HAFA 00010002-48414641 Weather Channel
HAFx 00010002-484146xx Forecast Channel
HAGA 00010002-48414741 News Channel
HAGx 00010002-484147xx News Channel

which has worked fine and removed the channels.

And wondered if installing the ones extracted from a disc are likely to bugger anything else up? my Wii is starfalled 3.2e with the dip 7 patched cISOs and all discs run from the disc channel.

The channels extracted from the game disc are.

RVL-Forecast_EU-v7.wad.out.wad
RVL-News-v3.wad.out.wad
RVL-News_EU-v7.wad.out.wad
RVL-Weather-v3.wad.out.wad

Anyone else already done this (searched but the GBATemp search engine is shite)

OK I have re-installed the Forecast and News channels (EU-v7) and removed them a couple of times with no problems, all other (ahem) changes previously done to the Wii are still working.

None

they don't share space that can be recovered, I wanted them gone so nobody turned Wii24 on and updated.

I think the photo channel can be got from a Wii disc using WUFE

Why not just get a homebrew media player? If you install it as a channel then it would be just as convenient as photo channel.

If you delete the 1.1 version it reverts back to the old version which is still installed, at least that's what it did on mine.
