i don't understand why we would need a pi zero specifically
i mean wouldn't a plain old zero do the job?
what do we need wifi for anyways except for installing libraries and stuff?

couldn't this just as easily be done on a non W PI zero ?

i mean if we are just going to be flashing a pre set up image anyways
or if done manually couldn't it be set up on zero W or pi 3 and then just move the card to the zero

Nobody said the Pi zero has to be the W version with WiFi, that is why it is in parenthesis.

Hey, here is my modification File for SX OS CFW! :) - Flash (img) to Disk32diskimager - wait 40 sec and the Payload will start ;)

Works of all Raspberry Pi ;) (tested: Raspberry Pi 3, Raspi Zero W)

Can you post a video proof of it booting up?

Hold on a second, I'll try and figure a way of uploading it here (mp4 isn't on the list of supported files).

Figured it, uploaded to a Google Drive.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IcSMUFha6Etzj-2jzW68AYCffjTcsaDo/view

Note: I had to put my phone down (on the Switch screen) between 0:05 and 0:11 so I could hold the Vol+ and Power button and put the stick in, you'll see a black screen and then a sudden brightness when it loads (I only have two hands - need both index fingers for the RCM).

TX Pro dongle uses some capacitors as batteries. I don't say its impossible, but its hard to achieve without modifying the USB flash dongle and I don't see anything soldered on there

There's some sort of capacitor, but I have no idea as to what it is. Maybe it can store a small charge?

All I know, is that it works. B-)

Possible, yes... But it's not so stable as the NX Loader if there is anything on the RasPiZW.

Easy, no... It's always better to steer people away from anything that can potentially brick their console.

No, shame on you @James310 :rofl2:

And shame on you, @icamaster

There is so much fail in this post.

Fusee Framboise is as stable as other methods.

You cannot brick your switch with it, as the bootloader is read-only - hence the reason we have hacks in the first place.

So, we have these methods to launch...

  • SX Pro
  • TegraRCMSmash
  • NX Loader
  • ATSAMD21 hex files for DIY modchip install
  • Fusee-a-la-framboise
And ZERO bootloader bricks.
