I use Winrar, I love it. And even after the 40 days, you can use it as long as you want, even though it tells you not to. Not trying to promote any illegal use of it, but I did want to make a correction to what was said.

Considering it's been that way for years, I don't think they're so concerned about people using it illegally.

I mean, not to presume anything, but I imagine that if they wanted people not to use it after 40 days, they would have put the code in to lock it at that point.

RAR is a compression method. a .rar file is basically a heap of files, put them together in one folder, and reduce the size, making it convenient

A) I have no idea what you are talking about with your 1,2,3.. and yes your answer is correct .rar is a compressed files but as the other posted suggested perhaps dont bump topics more than a few weeks old unless you have new information to add that is relevant. Thanks

I use winrar, winrar is a lot more popular then 7zip. I personally have only used a 7-Zip auto-unachiver (spelling) Although I use PeaZip on my flashdrive so that's also something else, it has a nice GUI, try to look at all of them and see what works best. From the sounds of it 7zip is more advanced and may be to difficult for you to use (Seeing as you don't know what RAR is). So make your own opinion

7-zip.....more advanced all he wants to do is unzip the .rar(s) to get his games personally I think 7-zip is much better than winrar in terms of use.

I'd go with 7-zip, download and install it then go to where your .rar files are highlight them all, right click go to 7-zip and extract here

simple beans now while your .nds files are being extracted go enjoy a beer

Except 7zip has higher customizability, better performance, supports more formats, and is free.

WinRAR is free, it says 40 day trial but that's shit.
