Hello,
I own a r4igold and the firmware site for it is www.r4igold.cn.
Sadly, for the last few weeks, the site has gone missing for me, I tried the other r4igold site and the firmware did not match the same as r4igold.cn and will not run.

So right now, I do not know if there is another firmware that is compatible with my r4igold, and I cannot get another flashcard since I got mine not long ago.
So is there another possible firmware? I also tried YSmenu but it wouldn't run aswell. :\

Thanks in advance.

try wood r4 if not work then try modded wood r4 for clones(somewhere on the forum)
and go on trying testing all firmwares (so even acekard and cyclo ones') to find out from which flashcard the hardware design(chips and more) is stolen

I'm going to murder that stupid lady who sold me that card. I feel stupid to believe it when she said R4i-gold is the flashcart that support most of the games and is daily updated.

I will check the other firmware to see if it works.

^I almost did the same thing. I was a noob about flashcarts then a lady told me that R4i gold was the best. Good thing I bought the R4

and then I knew about WOOD R4

Dont worry, an Acekard 2i or the ORIGINAL R4 can be your next bet. they're less than 20 bucks in Shoptemp

Wood R4 does not work with it.

I used to own an original R4 but then one day it would not load up for me, then I found out that it was broken. >_> Just my luck.

EDIT: I tried that modded wood R4 firmware but in the end I got confused and nothing worked >_

Try TTDS firmware and AKAIO 1.5 MOD (Only akaio 1.5 mod and below will work if it is an acekard clone model)

... AKAIO 1.5 MOD should not be used. It nearly killed AKAIO.

Anyway, that reminds me of when I got my first flashcart. It was the very nice E-Z Flash 5 (a cart which to this day is both perfect and too often overlooked). I remember jealously eying off the R4s sitting there, thinking that they were the best. Thank god I was short $10.
