Hacking R4i gold V2.0 not working on Dsi FW 1.4.2

i bought 3 cards R4i gold v2.0
and there not working on my newley Dsi Fw v 1.4.2
I see no update on my site www.r4ids.com and i do think none is coming since everybody is going for 3Ds updates and sh*t

I bought them from snipe a deal.co.uk and there not helpfull either and i'm really really really pissed

someone in a position or able to help me?

The site from your flashcard appears to be.. down. This card could most likely be a clone, as the site for R4i Gold is not r4ids.com.

The site to the original r4i gold is r4ids.cn You might want to check it out.

www.r4ids.com is the breakaway team from www.r4ids.cn as ALL r4i Gold cards are clones of one card or another (in fact all r4i cards are a clone of something) there are no "Official" R4 Gold cards.

As this particular one is the AKAIO version it is an AceKard clone whereas the www.r4ids.cn is a R4 clone.

However it is possible that the 3DS update is a 3DS and DSi update in one (that's how AceKard.com did it with theirs and as this is a AceKard clone then that's probably how it's done with this card). Just run it on either an unupdated DSi (use the DSi file) or run it on a DS/DSl (use the DSl file).

Thanks for the help lemmymet, but i'm not going to install a Firmware that's not designed for my R4 Card
i told the shop that i'm about to deman my money back via paypal and suddenly there' more helpfull and asking me to send the card back to hong kong ... which is going to cost me a small fortune ...

If anybody has a solution to this problem with R4i gold v2.0 cards not working ont he latest DSi firmware

please tell me now

did you watch the videos on the other thread . try running the updates on a DS light . if you don't have one find somebody who does. and update the cart .

i didn't try it ... because it's not actually safe ...
is that the only solution? because i'm beginning to think those clones of R4 never get updated to e played on V1.4.2 Ds

and i have an old Ds fat yeah so that isn't the problem

not being safe is untrue the update is crc checked before flashing so it's more or less impossible to flash the wrong update

that is because that update is from april 6 2011 (old)
r4ids.com has not release an update yet for the new DSI firmware.

i did email them and they did reply saying they will release an update but who knows when.

i too have this card and am waiting for the update . if i had a spare card i would try the AKAIO update ..

the only working firmware at the moment for this card is to take the chance and update with the AKAIO one i posted earlier

i had to fix these cards for a friend we went on vacation, and i got them fixed just in time
it's the last time i put my hands on a R4 card ... never ever ever again
