Hacking R4i Gold 3ds Accident

Hi everybody, I came here for help because you guys seem to know what you're doing. I have a r4i gold 3ds and it was working just fine with the new firmware but I still had on my game list the firmware upgrade application that I once used to upgrade my flashcart to make it new firmware compatible. My cousin was playing around with the 3ds and accidentaly opened that app, I saw it and I was utterly pissed off and confused, I imediatelly turned off my 3DS and thought to myself " why the hell have I interrupted the upgrade" Right now it obviously isnt working, the chessmaster icon of the flashcart doesnt even show up on my 3ds and I tried formatting the micro sd but I had no luck. Any advice ? Is it broken beyond repair ? Thanks in advance

You will need another working flashcart -- start the upgrade, then swap carts when it tells you to press A.

Just take it easy.
You should get a NDSL to update your R4i gold 3ds(r4ids.cn)once more.

things you need

Another flashcard: Ak2i, DSTwo or any other working cards. A DS console !

I will take a "acekard 2i " as the example

1. Download the Ak2i kernel, download the correct R4i gold 3ds update pathch (which for DS console) put them in your SD card.

2. Put the Ak2i in the DS console, powere on and run the patch.
3. Take out your Ak2i and put your bricked r4i gold 3ds in the DS
4.Press KEY_A and the updating process will begin
5. Just finish the update. Notice : keep the power on and do not interrupt the update again

So the key is you need to switch the flashcard with a DS console. Good luck.
