Well, i've just bought my new revolution for ds flash card but im still newbie in this subject so i've got some questions.
Shall i install YSmenu or just install the normal one from http://r4ds.cn ?
After installing it, where can i get games or something?
Thanks.

The R4 DS is a great card to have. If you have not already had help, I could probably give you some tips.
The R4 is great for playing roms, but also works well for some home brew and media.

When using emulators like NesDS, simple drag and drop NesDS.nds into the root, and create a folder in the root title NES (or whatever you like) to house your backup ROMS. You will have to google where to find those.

You can also upgrade Moonshell (the default media player) to Moonshell 2. Backup your old Moonshell nds file, and rename your Moonshell2.nds to _DS_MSHL.nds and place it in the root of the card.

There is some homebrew that simply will not work with R4, ie, DSDoom, and I have been having trouble getting StellaDS, an Atari 2600 emulator to work.

Anyhow, here are two good spots to look and find fun games and apps to get the most out of your DS and your R4:

Hope that helps some,

That's not exactly true, is it? I mean most ROMs/homebrew can be made to work on it but when comparing it to other DS flashcards it would be charitable to even describe it as 'average'.

Yeeeeeeah.... No, I have a R4 Card, and the amount of effort to go through to get them updated now for a BEGINNER is freaking trying to teach a brick wall maths, its not a beginners card at all, an ACEKARD is a good beginners card.

And i agree with Depravo... Average would still be an over-statement...
Im a proud owner of one, but only cause i can put up with it
