Hacking r4ds menu not working

downloaded the files from r4ds and it shows a !!! and then japanese text in a box at the menu...i also put the folders/files of menu in root directory

You are using the wrong menu version for your cart, either your cart is chinese and you are running the english menu or vice versa.

Most people mistake Chinese for Japanese, so he probably has a Chinese R4.


Edit:

Where can you get the Chinese firmware anyway? I've never seen it on the R4DS website.

Edit: nevermind it is there, just not in the english section.

edit: it works~!...my friend didn't realize it was chinese when he bought it probably ._.;; this was for my friend's r4 btw XD thnx for all the help ppls
