Hacking R4 top~can i change my firmware

so i have a R4 top~

and i was wondering wether anyone could tell me i could use other firmware or files from other R4's and use it on my flashcart~

also some people say that fake r4's need constant patching for new roms.right?

but i dont event patch mine and all of the new games work even pokemon heartgold~US

so do i still need to patch my firmware??

Well i cant download the firmware to examine. What clone is it? TTDS, AK2 or R4DS clone?

If you look at the kernel It's a obvious DSTT clone. You may be able to use the unofficial DSTT kernel with it.

Edit: Also YSMenu would probably work if you follow the DSTT guide.

tnx but how did you know that it was dstt clone?? and if i use the unofficial dstt kernel

would'nt it destroy my r4?or maybe it wont work?

and where can i find the dstt guide?

It won't destroy the card. What gave it away was the TTMENU.DAT & TTMENU.SYS included with the kernel. The Top kernel is a hacked YSMenu & it works on a real DSTT.
