Hacking R4 to buy for Wood?

Just for Wood, I want an R4, but the original is only for the regular and lite DS. I want an R4i that will work with the Wood modified by Xenon and Rockstar. Any suggestions?

So far I think that the R4i SDHC might work, but I need confirmation.

go ahead and buy it... prepared to get disapointed though.

don't get me wrong, I have R4 and it works great- easiest thing to use ever... but it's old, there are better carts now.

This. The wood firmware is based off the same firmware the acekard uses. People are proclaiming wood as great because it's much better than the original R4 firmware and replacements.

True, R4iSIAB (Shit In A Box) might be cheaper... but R4i vs AK2i is a clear case of getting what you pay for.

Also, I do not believe any 'i' or SDHC versions of R4 will run WoodR4...
I could be wrong, but I really don't care. I own a Real R4 and an AceKard 2i.
I did my research and spent a few extra dollars to make sure not to get a fake/clone card.

Wrong. There's a modified version of Wood R4 that works on any flashcart that uses similar firmware to the original R4 (but this means that R4 clones that use the DSTT menu can't use Wood R4).

And BTW, the OP just wants an R4 for the hell of it. Not because he's looking for a cheap alternative to the AK2i.
