Hacking R4 Pokemon Pearl Cheats Freezing

I recently put the latest R4 cheat database file onto my R4 and most of the cheats for Pokemon Pearl work just fine. However, some of the "larger" ones such as All Items x995, All Battle Items x995, and All Medicine cause my game to crash when I load them. Is there a solution for this problem?

That's weird, I never had that problem. Do you have an original R4 or a clone? It might be a clone problem.

Well I have an original too but it never froze on me while using cheats.
You could try reformatting your card and redownloading the firmware, ROM and cheat database.
BTW what firmware are you on?

Ok, I'll give that a try

I'm running on v1.14, I actually tried to install 1.18 yesterday the card printed out a "version not compatible" message or something upon boot-up.

That's seriously weird, and 1.14 is really old.
