Is it just me or does using the R4/M3 Simply slowdown original GBA games?

When I boot up the R4 and I have an original GBA game in slot-2 I just go to the slot 2 function and load up the GBA games. When I do this I experience slowdowns at times.

Does anyone know what the problem is?
I'm just curious as to why it would slow down when its an original game.

It seems unlikely, considering that slot 1 is turned off before the GBA game is loaded. I'm not saying it's impossible, but I don't see how that would work.

Some GBA games slow down normally. How carefully have you compared the performance with and without the slot 1 cart inserted?

Hmm.. Maybe because it's an old cart?
Try booting it with the regular DS menu and play at the area of the game where it slows down for you.
