Hacking R4 freezes when I play Gyakuten Saiban 4

So there's a point in the first case where the screen fades to white, shortly before the first major save point in case 1. My R4 always freezes as soon as the fade to white happens. I know it's frozen, because closing the DS doesn't sleepmode it.

Any idea why it's doing this? I just got the latest firmware and it's still happening, so...

Things to try out:

- make sure your ROM isn't trimmed;
- redownload your ROM;
- use a CRC checker on your ROM and compare it with AdvanScene's GS4 entry;
- make sure your R4 is updated to the latest kernel version (1.15);
- reformat your card to either FAT16/FAT32;
- perform chkdsk on your microSD to see if there are any bad sectors;
- defragment your microSD;

This is all I can remember on top of my head. I sadly don't have R4 anymore, so I can't recreate the problem, but judging by you being the only one with it apparently, I bet your problem is unique, therefore one of the mentioned solutions should fix it. Or at least I hope so.

About defragging your MicroSD: DO NOT use any conventional defragging tool, this will KILL your card. Backup your data, format the card, put your data back in.

I tried all the stuff you guys listed, but I'm still having problems... I really, honestly don't know what's wrong.

...guess I'll just have to wait and get Apollo Justice instead.
