the best ARM7.bin file to use is the one from KIRBY SUPERSTAR ULTRA

you don't have time to use the search button, but you have the audacity to waste our time by asking questions that can be found by using the search button, not to mention google "sonic blah gbatemp" or "sonic gbatemp r4", etc.

Found it...damn to complicated

...won't have time...

you seem to be very lazy and want everything handed to you. you should have been into flash linkers back in the gba days when we had to do all types of hacks just to get the rom working. the slot1 drag/drop generation has it so easy... doing an arm7 patch takes all of 30 seconds.

http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=106861

grab crackers .exe
take the .nds rom suggested to be used for the patch and rename it to donor.nds
drop the rom you want to patch into the .exe and in less than 10 seconds your patched.

For all those on M3/R4:

1. Get YSMenu via R4Sayuto here: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=103879&st=0 I recommend making it a standalone .nds file for ease of use.
2. Trim the rom and place it in the root directory.
3. Boot up YSMenu and run the rom with DMA and without reset. Reset gave me an error, but it might be fixable if you're so inclined.

Works with applying ARM7 Fix patch AND using only a ARM7.bin file coming from ROM 2337 (you can find ARM7 at http://www.omgrofl.com/index.php or use DSLazy method at http://www.monroeworld.com/myfaq/index.p...

Big thanks Another World your comments came up in a google search while I was trying to get my R4 to work with Sonic Chronicles Dark Brotherhood. I had tried using Mario & Sonic as the donor and failed, but your suggestion of 2337 was spot on. Thank you.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
