i have a supercard dsone with the newest firmware, whenever i try to change the arm9 file it always give me the 2 white screens of death when i run the rom. i have tried the patcher rocky 5 put up with the same result. i would use the cheat but when i enable them on a clean rom, it dosn't pick them up. what can i do?

It has to be the USA version not the EU or UK

I got the white screen when i patched the wrong rom lol then i got the US one and bam it worked.

what is the startup screen when you boot the rom the US one is white with text and the other versions are pictures.

I am once again facing the horrifying truth that I can't patch it on my god damn mac.

i have ubuntu linux and i did it i patched it with shell ndstool.exe using wine (only tool that worx on wine)

The Easiest Thing To Do Is Download 2923 - Guitar Hero Rock Tour (U).nds And Play That,
It Does'nt Use The Guitar Hero Slot 2 Handheld Guitar You Just Touch The Buttons On The
Touch Screen It's Alot Easier And You Don't Need To Mod It..

ugh... mapping is just wrong.... but really good effort...

I'm going to state a theoretical procedure on remapping the buttons:
Required
- hexworkshop/some other hex editor with binary compare
- Hacked arm9.bin
- Original arm9.bin

1. compare the 2 arm9 files
2. the differences must be the keys (right? i'm a little unsure... hehe)

COMPARISON

3. swap them around a little....
4. theoretically remapped buttons...

or try using the no$GBA debugger
(I am unsure about debuggers so the following is extremely theretical, turn away if easilyoffended)
open the hacked GH rom, press the buttons (in the tutorial lvl) write down the output,
using your own vast knowledge find these offsets(?) using a hex editor, then swapsies!!!!!
please can some smart person (unlike my self) try this


these methods will only work cauz some1 else hasdone the hard work already...

Is there a (hex) hack for the roms pass of guitar grip not bieng there?

(sounds a little ridiculous right? but i have a reason if possiable)

i want to use my ps2 guitar on my pc by usb converter using ideas emulator. (also joy to key for remapping buttons)

My experience of the ds guitar grip ndslite
sloppy guitar grips.

they are sloppy well many people know what i meen (um fallout or jolt way too easily) stuffing up yer game
when u should rock but how can u when u have to be carefull with the grip falling out or moving so slighly, really no thought was put into the grips.

The best solution is still buy a guitar grip (DealExtreme sells unofficial grips for something like 10$). It's really not the same experience with and without the grip.

And for Bubbad, I think there is some cheats for disabling the error message when guitar grip is not here. Try to look on the cheats database

Ritsuki, just gave me the insperation i needed on r4i-sdhc cheat database there is action replay codes
just got to peer inside it to get the grip codes.

the new beta ideas 1.0.3.4 emulator works finally missing graphics choppy and no sound with gh on tour modern hits (USA) (found that use properties\expansion ram\guitar grip
and has change button assignments in the emulator itself)

gbano$ 2.6 is just choppy sound and slow (but then again im using onboard graphics, be differant on other pcs)
but better at least

You can do this with cheat codes now, in DeadSkullzJr's database they're in the "Grip Codes" folder, then enable the bypass code and your choice of the controller input codes.
