Homebrew Quick question about Luma

So, I recently got Luma up and running on my 3DS, and I wanted to know something: Does Luma just straight-up allow you to run imported games, or do you have to install a separate piece of homebrew to get imported games working? I've been wanting to import a copy of Puyo Puyo Chronicle, and I wanted to 100% make sure I can play imported games before I actually DO import a copy of it. (Just in case this is needed, my 3DS is running the latest firmware.)

Luma3DS does have region-free patches, so you can install CIAs from different regions and also run carts from different regions.
