Hacking questions about r4

I just bought an r4 yesterday and i had a few questions about it.

1. is and r4 with ysmenu the same thing as having a dstt? or is it completely different

2. how is compatibility on a normal r4 compaired to one with ysmenu

3. has playing games over wifi gotten any better with the updates on either normal or ysmenu since the original r4 review here on gbatemp.

4. this one is pretty noobish but i really couldnt find a clear answer for it. I understand that flashcart "firmwares" can actually just be run from the sd as an nds file. Does this mean that if i have an r4 i could be using a acekard 2's menu and its compatibility?
