Hacking Questions about flash cards on dsi

Hello, I just got a dsi and wabted to know aboutnthese flash cards...

Which one should I get? I dont care how much it costs, I just want one with great compatability and support.

I saw some flash cards come with chargers.. Why do you need to charge a flash card? How long does a charge last?

Where should I buy one?

Any other useful info would be great!

Go with the Supercard Two, best around, GBA and SNES emulation, Video and music support without the need for converting them, damn good card...though it does suck up a bit more battery life.
And charger? I never saw a charger for a flashcard before, unless you are referring to the external flasher like the Supercard DSonei has, that is used to flash the internal firmware of the flashcard so it can work after updates.

On modchipcentral it says that the supercard comes with a free usb charging cable so idk what they mean.

Some may come with a USB charger for the DS/i, not for the flash cart itself.

I agree the DSTwo is the best you'll get, the Cyclo iEvolution is a contender (as it actually runs in DSi mode), but there's no notable DSi-mode homebrew that beats what the DSTwo has, and of the DSi-only games, I think there's perhaps one that's not crap.

hmmm......, 1.4.1U is the newest firmware, there should not be an update.. well, not that I know of

SUpercard DStwo is indeed the best, works with 3DS too
I would recommend Realhotstuff even though their prices are like 4$ higher then any other places, They ship REALLLLYYYY fast. its awsum.

ok I decided to get a 3DS instead of a DSi. Will the 3DS be able to update the DStwo to the firmware that supports the 3DS or will I need to find a DSi / DS Lite to update it?

Same thing as the DSi. If the flash cart does not come with the latest update (and there's a very real chance of that), you WILL need access to an older DS system that does run it in order to apply the update.

It may or may not, depends on the update that the DSTwo comes with.

Just make sure your shop says they UPDATE (not just test) all their carts before sending them out.
