[Question] Running PSX games on PS2

    I am planning to play some PSX games on my PS2. But before I become intimate with PSX-in-PS2 gaming, I have a question.
    If I save my progress of my PSX game, will it be saved to the PS2 memory card? Otherwise, where will the save end up in?

    No, PS1 saves aren't compatible with PS2 memory cards, you will need a PS1 memory card to save onto.

    You can also copy PS1 saves to PS2 card, but it's only a place saving purpose.

    Only a few PS2 games, if not only one, can read a PS1 save.
    Suikoden 3 read Suikoden 2 saved game copied onto a PS2 memory card, but cannot read PS1 card directly and can't save to it.

    I think that is very bad... the ps2 memorycard SHOULD be able to save psx games... Now I have to find a psx memorycard, just to replay silent hill (i have my old save on the ps2 mc)
