Out of curiosity, how can you tell if a Guitar Hero 3/Aerosmith disc has mono sound instead of surround. I have Aerosmith now and I just bought GH3 disc?

If your game is in mono only when you go to the settings and try to change the audio output (I think it's explained on page 8 of the GH3 manual I dunno) you can only leave it in mono. If your game is a fixed copy, you should be able to choose between mono and stereo (and surround if it supports it). At least, this is what I think.

I don't think Aerosmith has any sound issues.

If you can't tell by listening then look at the disc. There are a few threads on here which show the physical differences of the disc.

The previous post is wrong. There is no setting for mono/stereo/surround in the GHIII game. There is no issue with GH:A, it plays in stereo/surround just fine.
