Gaming Question about getting banned

If you get banned, what happens to your console?
Can't you sign into XBL anymore or can't you use your xbox at all? (Play games etc)
That's my question

I just wanted to know the risk of getting online with the recent banning wave

You can't go on live from that console. That is all. You can play games, your gamertag still works, just the console is banned. So if you get a new console, you can still use your old gamertag to go on live

You cant ever connect to LIVE. You can still use your Xbox.
