Homebrew Question About Flash Cart Helper?

I was wonder if it updates the kernel without the need of actually updating the kernel through a DSi or Lite? My 3DS detects it but won't actually run it says and Error occured any ideas? am I reading it wrong, it shows and option to update the kernel so what gives? to me that's saying, "Yes you don't need a DSi or Lite to update the kernel we do that for ya!" lol.

That isn't going to happen unless everyone magically gets the ability to shove their flashcart into their computer. And just giving everyone one of the iEvo or SCDSOnei UFOs isn't going to solve it either.
