I just got a 3DS XL yesterday and have updated it to the most recent software version. I've done some research on flash carts and it seems like the r4i gold seems like a good affordable option. But apparently the revision C carts don't work with the latest software version. My question is, when browsing online, how do I know whether they're selling revision C carts or the newest version?

All new R4i Gold 3DS cards (www.r4ids.cn) can support the newest 3DS V5.0.0-11 and DSi V1.45 directly without any patch updating.

Shouldn't have done that... it's not a recommended cart because the team drops support early.
