I just got a 3DS XL yesterday and have updated it to the most recent software version. I've done some research on flash carts and it seems like the r4i gold seems like a good affordable option. But apparently the revision C carts don't work with the latest software version. My question is, when browsing online, how do I know whether they're selling revision C carts or the newest version?

Usually you can check the description of the item, check here: http://www.dsflashcart.com/r4i-gold-3ds-wood-r4i-3ds-flashcard-for-ds-dsi-3ds-p-248.html If they say the pre-flashed or their card can work on the latest 3DS firmware. then it should be the latest version. Actually it is not so difficult to buy the old cart because most sites should sell the latest version now unless they have some old carts in stock.

Thanks, ended up buying an ace3ds from your site.
