With my full version of q2 using an EZ 3-in-1 I get the following error:

Error: Couldn't load pics/colormap.pcx

Any ideas? x.x Seems to be a file in PAK0, but I have that in there.

Would it be possible to put Half Life on the DS? O__o
A port? No.
Sad, sad truth

We would have to degrade the models a lot, and make the physics more DS friendly... Basically, rewrite the game.

try this one, I swapped L and R buttons and also XYAB into D-Pad and back.
but didnt test it due to my lazyness, please report back.

EDIT:
that means that you should be able to walk around with XYAB and jump/change weapon with D-pad.

Thanks, man. It works perfectly.

Now I'm able to play this.

This REALLY makes me regret that I lost my 3in1. Guess I should get another one, still it's irritating cyclo still doesn't properly support the newer version.

Works well with Supercard SD (R4 as launch.) but you have to leave the settings to Autodect and RAM speed to slowest.

(BTW the 'select' key is ENTER.')

For people who have problems where the pak files are initialised correctly, but for some reason the game fails to load: this is often due to a dldi driver problem corrupting the data stream. There are two solutions I can think of: split your pak files into smaller files or extract the pak files into the baseq2 directory (but maintain the pak directory structure) and then remove the pak files from your flash card.
This will probably give slightly longer load times but it's less likely the driver will corrupt the data.

works with G6 lite, only on the slowest setting for some reason.

on slower i get Error: Couldn't load pics/colormap.pcx link register is 0202x398

at slow it freeze after texture system initilised.

im using the pak file from the demo version, and memtest is reporting that my memory is broken at some point (0x9f0330e)

can i fix that ?

I extracted the PAK file and now it works, thanks! Been a while since I played Q2!

I had problems on my EZV + 3-1 at first. I was running 1.68....so I updated to 1.70. It works fine now =P but i still let it auto detect my ram because selecting 3-1 doesnt seem to work?!?

BUT...awesome awesome job.

I'm using G6 Lite as Ram Expansion too AND it works on "Slow" too.
btw, I'm using the full version pak0.pak file which is 176mg and DSTT as launcher.

and if Memtest fails too, I would reformat and do the MPutility (maintenance utility of G6) again and then see what happens.

you can PM me if problem persists.

I have to use auto detect too since it fails on my EZ3in1 too. The EZ4 gets detected correctly when I manually set it to the EZ Flash setting which is strange since the EZ3in1 is very similar in design to the EZ4.

@stormwolf18 - the quote below probably applies to you
(I have no idea about the error you get on your card. If you can get this repeatably when running memtestarm at the default speed then there may be something wrong with your card. However, sometimes this happens when the card is not detected properly - try forcing the card selection to your card.
On the flip side, I've never even seen a G6 and none of my testers has a G6 so take the support for that card with a pinch of salt!)

@those who get detection errors of their card...yeah... Slot-2 RAM unlocking (and especially detection) is a fine art and I'm not too surprised that it doesn't work every time

did it, same problem when running memtest. i guess thats why it wont run on slow. extracting files from the pak didnt fix it.
(im not using auto-detect)

simonjhall, I'm using G6 Lite (and gladly will help if required, Pm for my email) and its doing fine and sadly the steps that usually makes a non-working G6 working (http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=74930&view=findpost&p=983628), didnt help.

@stormwolf18: does memetest still rises error after using MPutility?
