dslinux Proof-of-concept Build on the Nintendo DSi / DSi XL
This is still your Grandma's Linux
, but besides working on the DS/DS lite, it now also works on the DSi / DSi XL (sort-of) on the sdcard via TwilightMenu++!
The main issues were that there is no memory expansion pack on the DSI (no GBA slot) and the DLDI driver provided only works with flashcarts - so this build has DLDI disabled and i published one game to the romfs filesystem instead of using a Linux directory on the sdcard.
You can download my build here: https://github.com/keiichicom/dslinux/releases/tag/Linux,
Here is an example of it in action on a DSi XL:
Future Plans: add DLDI driver for SD card slot, thus enabling all dslinux software (DLDI is currently disabled), WIFI with WPA driver.
For now you can try just one game, instructions in the release notes, enjoy.
Cheers All,
Kei
