Hello,
I dump with nonpdrm my jap game Puyo Puyo Tetris to apply a english patch but I can't find one. A patch exist for the 3ds version (also for the wiiU but it seem it's strangely less translated). Most of the files in the patch 3ds are the same in the vita version's game data. So I try to remplace them with the patch.
The game load but it crash just before the title screen.
Also, some one said that on reddit :
@zadanlavey said that it should be easy to port the translation to the Vita, saying the game had multiplat in the mind from the start.
How you think we can port the patch ?

The 3DS assets are lower resolution and aren't built with one screen in mind, right? Therefore using it as a base for the Vita isn't a good idea, so try to use the assets from the Switch dump if you know what you're doing. Zadanlavey and I were going to finish the WiiU translation first, but I don't know what happened to him.

That's right, I hadn't thought about the dual screen and the resolution. I'll try to find the switch files and if it don't work, I'll try with the wiiU files.
I think that in August, Zadanlavey came back to say that the project is still alive but has not returned since. If he's ok, it's not very serious.

Update : Switch files aren't the same (the folders are the same but not the files) and I can't find a download for the wiiU patch...

I very much doubt the 3DS/Wii U files are directly going to port over, I imagine that quote you has just means they are all similar enough that it wouldn't really require retranslation.

I'd imagine besides the "narc" files which I assume the VITA is also using? that everything inside those is actually different, I mean the 3DS version of the game uses CTPK textures files and as far as I'm aware that format is only used on 3DS and not VITA, I bet the same goes for Wii U, it will use its own texture standard.

There is no copy/paste between versions, someone would need to work on a VITA specific version.
