Putting a cheat file onto a game

    Ok so i want to add some codes to mmbn6 on my ez flash iv but im not sure how to. I created a cht file and patched with with gbaatm but it still does not have the cheats loaded. Maybe i made the cht file wrong or something but i wont work. Please help.

    You likely didn't activate the cheat code with whatever button sequence.

    but i did press the button sequence. maybe i made the cheat file wrong?

    If it is not working, you are likely as you said likely using the wrong cht file.

    It might help if you took a screenshot of the gba file and cht file your using, to tell you if that is the case or not.

    BR5P is the EU version of the rom. I don't know where you got that cheat file from, I can only assume your likely using a US cheat file with the EU rom.

    You can also try different RAM modules to use. But you may also get errors.

    trying "different RAM modules" is the same as "go use a different flashcart."

    RAM modules are soldered to the PCB, you can't swap a module without changing the controller code which we don't have access to.

    Aside from what I just said, his issue is with patching a rom and has nothing to do with an emulator or hardware it is to run on.

    My bad. I wasn't very clear. I meant software-wise in GBAATM(In the pic above- the place where it says 'RAM to use-'). I really didn't know what to call it. :3

    That would be the memory offset location to use by the cheat engine. Most people will never touch it.
