Hacking Putting a cheat file onto a game

Ok so i want to add some codes to mmbn6 on my ez flash iv but im not sure how to. I created a cht file and patched with with gbaatm but it still does not have the cheats loaded. Maybe i made the cht file wrong or something but i wont work. Please help.
 
You likely didn't activate the cheat code with whatever button sequence.

You can also try different RAM modules to use. But you may also get errors.

trying "different RAM modules" is the same as "go use a different flashcart."

RAM modules are soldered to the PCB, you can't swap a module without changing the controller code which we don't have access to.

Aside from what I just said, his issue is with patching a rom and has nothing to do with an emulator or hardware it is to run on.

My bad. I wasn't very clear. I meant software-wise in GBAATM(In the pic above- the place where it says 'RAM to use-'). I really didn't know what to call it. :3
