When your PSP is hacked you can rip/convert your own PSX discs, you're not limited to running what's from the PSN store.

I have a slight problem, I have 3 memorysticks, one 1Gb, 1 2 GB and one 8GB. the first two are no problem for my psp. BUT when I put the third(8GB) in my PSP, it does not show one of my games! How can I solve that?(I formated the thing to FAT32)

Considering you can swap them by accessing the recovery menu from VSH (without even having to reboot), I don't think anybody's going to bother.

There was only one batch of PSP Gos made IIRC and they are no longer in development

Edit: even if I'm wrong about the PSP Gos made, they all have the same motherboard.

I'm planning to buy a used PSP go, so I guess all I need to look for is the firmware version.

Thanks to an update today, anything can be hacked because you can now downgrade 6.38 (the latest OFW) to both 6.20 (any PSP up to 05G) and 6.35 (any PSP up to 09g).

Updating the stickies AGAIN to account for that...

if i get a PSP 3000 Out of the box with 6.38, i can downgrade it to 6.35? or will it brick?

If it comes with 6.38 out of the box, then you cannot downgrade it past 6.38.
You cannot install a firmware lower than the PSP came with.

As far as I know PSPs are only coming with up to 6.35, has that changed?

i dont know, but people said that there is a risk that if you buy a psp on a retail store nowadays you can get a 6.38... i think that every psp comes with 6.35 max? if its 6.35 i just need to get 6.35 CFW...

If you buy a used one with 6.20 or less then you'll know it's hackable.

Yup!
You'll need to update to 6.38, downgrade to 6.20 and then permanent patch it.
