Heads up, people. There's a new system update coming for the Sony PlayStation Portable. Don't hit that Network Update icon just yet, though (and if you're a homebrew user, why would you?). It's not out yet. PSN Operations director Eric Lempell says it should be out "soon", though.

So far, no changelog, but firmware 5.03 supposedly includes "a security patch for the PSP's system software." Could this be Sony's answer to the GripShift exploit? Very possible. Stay tuned for more updates.

Watch, they're going to throw a really bitchin' feature in here and trick a bunch of people into turning another section of the PSP market into an unhackable mass.

Maybe they'll add a feature that we've always wanted?

What could they possibly add that the homebrew community hasn't come up with already?

instead of trying to spend time on trying to black exploit, what don't they spend that time, and energy on making more games, don't they know that unexploitable hardware don't sell that well, look at the ds , most people buy a hardware because they have the luxury of play homebrew, and downloading games, after they fail at this, maybe they will stop trying

    Three way payment DRM.
Pay for your favorite games three times over and even more if you wanted to!

    Also Toilet Paper.
A much needed feature in today's handheld gaming market.
    Obviously.
