Gaming PSP DEMO Question

Hello all at gba temp,
I just got a phat psp for me today (YAY

)
(gotta love flea markets in america!)

I've allready ordered my tool battery from datel and planning on installing customFW.
just a quick question though, i wish to play demos while i wait for shipping, and my current FW is 2.82
Just about all demos need fw above that.
so is there any risk of updating my FW that may later hamper my ability to install customFW later?

Nope. If you're gonna use a pandora to flash the CFW to it, FW version doesn't matter a bit. I've flashed bricked, 2.50, 3.40, and 3.90 PSPs with my pandora and everything went perfectly.

Is there an easier way to make my PSP run games other than the Pandora battery
because my FW is 2.82?
I heard of things like the lumines exploit and GTA exploit.

sorry, I haven't played around with any of those hacks. The only ones I've ever used are the Pandora and the 2.00 to 1.50 TIFF hacks. PSP-Hacks.com is a good site to find any help with the Lumines and GTA exploits.

I've upgraded PSP's to CFW with both the GTA Exploit and Pandora...

Honestly, Pandora is a hell of a lot easier.

(Plus the GTA and Lumines methods require that you actually have UMD copy of the game, which has lead to a price spike at place like eBay, and making it somewhat hard to find...)

All right then, i'll just stick with the pandora way of modding and try my best to follow the guide here on gbatemp.

I still have a few questions.
1. should i use psp grader v001 or v01?

2. The way i've been putting music and video on my memory stick is by connecting the usb cable to the top of the PSP. Do I have to buy a converter and plug in the card directly or will psp grader work if i just connect to the top of the PSP and select connect to usb in the system menu like i have been doing?

3. What would happen if i use psp grader v001 like you did in the pictures and selected v390 instead of v380?

4.about how long did some of you guys have to wait for your DATEL TOOL battery to arrive?
