I can't even get my roms to show up... and I'm not about to sit here and try to rename all my SNES roms, so this emulator just goes into the pile of others that don't work. :/

If you read the thread you would have found a solution to your problem

Hi There... I tried playing some hacked roms like A Link to the past translated into Italian, or a remake of the first Super Mario... All i get is a "Bad Checksum" error... what can i do to play those roms?

From my testing, I crashed while docked and in hand held, and not just soft crashes, full on crashing where I have to use jig. I haven't tested 1.3 so maybe you have fixed a lot of the crashing, also not sure if you are using video threading but the retroarch port just seems smoother. I'm not biased on any emu, just go by what works the best and I'm not hung up in uis either like most are
Yes sure, no problem at all :) Didn't had the time to test the retroarch port so I'm curious to see what's not optimal and what I can improve :)

haven't tested 1.3
well there you go. I can say the same thing about the last time i tested the retroarch snes port, and when i tested it, it was garbage. It was dropping inputs and tearing like a MF. I know its had a lot of updates since then though.

You cant just say the other is better without testing the latest lol

This may be a stupid question.

But how can I disable the bilinear filtering?
The image looks a bit blurry. I imagine this is because the bilinear filtering is turned on.

Hi, version 1.3 released with minor changes :
fix some case where buttons were broken in the saves dialog
add option to enable/disable database for roms handling (db.xml), application restart required (disable by default)
correctly load preview images when no database is used

OMG, OP, you are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!

Before this update, nothing would show up. After, everything shows green and I didn't do anything but update! Tried Snes9x, but it kept freezing after 20seconds or so.

This is {almost} perfection, at FULL SCREEN!

*Almost because it lags after putting console in sleep mode. Creating a save before putting console into sleep mode makes it a simple fix. Just back out, restart game, and go to save after using sleep mode. No need to restart the app.

cpasjuste,

Whatever weirdness was causing superFX games to not boot with the first release has been resolved with 1.3 (though i see 1.2 implemented the fix for this), and with the removal of the db.xml this is a much more fluid enjoyable experience :) Thank you very much for listening to us and giving us the option!

I have one small request - Currently now that pSNES works in 'file browser' mode, its showing all files, including .srm, save states, etc. Could you filter out all unknown extensions to prevent save state clutter in the game browser menu?

Thanks for all these wonderful ports. The most important thing for me on the switch is emulation and you've already covered most of my wants and needs between FBA and snes.

Yes, i know where the problem is (audio thread no stopped on sleep). I didn't have the time to look at it but if libnx have a way to know when we go to sleep, then it will be an easy fix.

I haven't downloaded the latest pSNES version yet, but i wasn't able to get any rom working (.sfc or .smc). Is there any roms pack that i just can copy in the roms folder and get going, now that the db requirement is gone? (First time going snes homebrew so i dont have any roms collection)
Delete "db.xml" file and put your roms on Rom folder...

Then you may love the next version!

Great !

Work only with db.xml file ?

M4xw, your port runs better though, people just like fancy uis over functionality for some wierd reason. I respect the progress of this but I'll stick with you and your almost flawless snes port :)

Snes9x mainline > Snes9x 2010, there's no contest as 2010 was intended only for weaker devices. What the hell did you expect from an emulator that's still in its earlier stages? Snes9x 2010 is based off of version 1.52, which is horribly outdated. To me that sounds rather ungrateful.

I like this version but starfox has major graphical glitches, anyone know if this can be fixed? Starfox runs good with RetroArch but i kinda prefer the simple UI on psnes. So far games run great.
