Homebrew PSA: Galaxy Themed New 3DS XL now comes on 11.4

Just went to the store to pick one up, got it home and saw it was on 11.4
The serial number is QW4124

Sorry if this isn't thread worthy.. I didn't know where else to post it.

Not surprising, it's 4 months to the day 11.4 came out so we should expect this firmware to start showing up more and more.

Now this could be a return, but I have seen a couple of others report getting this firm too, mainly on reddit.

I purchased a new one about two weeks ago and it was on 11.3 I believe. I guess I lucked out?

It is surprising. I don't remember another time when there was a reprint of a limited edition and they had a new firmware version. The first lot of Galaxy consoles all had 11.2.

The Galaxy is a regular color though. At least here the states -- don't know about AU/EUR.

I'm pretty sure they were on 11.2, I got one not too long after they came out (imported at a ridiculous price). I managed to brick it and it is still sitting on my bookshelf waiting for NTRBoothax :-p

11.2 came out on Oct 26 2016 so that initial firm is impossible anyhow.

I must be remembering the firmware wrong. I did buy mine before then. Edit: maybe because I had to update it to do the DSiWare downgrade, and the newest firm was 11.2 by that stage.

Wait, have you opened it and checked the firmware? I hear their return policy is pretty lenient.

Also, ntrboothax could release any moment now so keep that in mind if you have a ds flashcard.

I did open check firmware, but you wouldn't know it's been opened. I'm not worried about returning it, they will take it no problem. I'll tell them "didnt know it didnt come with a charger". I'm going in a few minutes. I'm more bummed out that this means I won't find a galaxy in store with right firmware. Wanted other than plain black.
