Hardware PS3 problems

I have 2 jailbreaket PS3 and I was able to format and update PS3 fat without problem and it's not jailbreak anymore but now have I problem with PS3 fat make a lot of noise. It's it possible to fix that? I was going to sell it, thats why i format and update it.
Regards my second PS3 a slim, I can't update it. I get this error code 8002f334 and how do I fix this?

the phat may need new thermal paste. tbh, they're not very reliable either (especially the bc versions). I'd say clean it out if possible. I don't know about the other system not updating. what firmware is it on? if you're trying to install cfw over ofw, it won't work unless it's on 3.55 or below. it could also be an issue with the hdd.

It was on CFW 4.86 and I didn't try to install cfw over cfw. I was going to update PS3 to 4.87.
How do i fix hdd issue?

Since PS3 slime won't work anymore, i'm going to use PS3 slim hard drive in PS3 Fat. How do I format PS3 hard drive on PC? I know I need scart to USB and i'm going to buy one tomorrow along with hdmi kabel.
Since hard drive on PS3 have 400 GB meanwhile hard drive on PS3 have only 100 GB.
Yes it was not problem with therma paste after all.

it doesn't matter. it will be reformatted on the phat ps3. it could even be raw, and it would still work.
