I have TWLMenu++ v27.6.0 on SD Card inserted directly into DSi and i can't launch Aperture Science DS and DScraft. I installed both applications according to the instructions, but when they start, they only display a white screen. On the DeSmuME emulator, I was able to run the games almost without problems (DScraft's list of available worlds did not display the worlds added there, so it was not possible to play it). Has anyone managed to launch these applications directly from DSi without flash-cartridge? Maybe my problem is related to NitroFS - it is mentioned in both installation instructions, but I could not figure out what it is

TWiLight Menu is known to have problems with homebrew, yes. The compatibility list is at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...1eedz_f7b5jiuyMv2x6e_jY_nyHSc/htmlview?pli=1# . Aperture Science DS and DScraft are both listed as "unplayable" without further explanation.

You can try setting them up to run from a RAM disk, but if that was a solution, it would probably be in the compatibility list. (Or it could be possible that no one's tried to do that yet.)

TWiLightMenu++ has always been able to play ApertureScienceDS and DScraft.
(Works fine from twm27.5.0 to the latest version, default run in DSi mode. )

ApertureScienceDS: put portalDS.nds , asds folder in SDroot.

DScraft (nitrofs ver): put DScraft.nds , dscraft folder in SDroot.
texture packs: SD>dscraft>packs
map: SD>dscraft>worlds

Keep in mind that TWiLight Menu++ doesn't use nds-bootstrap to run certain old homebrew, so the nds-bootstrap compatibility list won't always help.

I tried to do as you wrote here, but the result was the same. I tried different settings on the Y button, but the only differences were that the console used to freeze up in default settings and you had to hold down the power button to turn it off completely, and when you started it in DS Mode you could reboot with a short press of the shutdown button.

The only homebrew-application I have right now is JFDuke3D, which works great. I saw that it was running in DS Mode by default. Today I'll try to download cQuake and launch it

Format SD card, then reinstalling TWiLightMenu++ usually solves the problem.
(Backup game saves and photos before formatting your SD card)

It didn't work, the result is the same. By the way, on the O3DS that I recently purchased, the ApertureScienceDS opens through TWiLight Menu++, but it does not work to get into the menu - the intro opens and the game does not respond to the touchscreen and keys, only the intro restarts with a key combination L+R.

Maybe you have a problem with your SD card? Try using a different SD card.
I tested before on DSi (with or without Unlaunch) with old and new versions of TWiLightMenu++, both of these 2 homebrews are working fine.
Not sure why you can't play..
